Assessment of the impact of Web page persistence on Web indicators

Objectives

Web page persistence is a well-known problem of information retrieval on the Web.

Description of work/methodology

The project will use automated ways of testing the functionality of hyperlinks in scientific articles, using available (open source) software tools (e.g. Linklint). Furthermore, it will develop simulation models of Web page persistence and Web page intermittence to test the consequences of these Web processes on prototypes of STI indicators.
